Stars is an intimate, 12-seat wine bar in Manhattan’s East Village, brought to life by Chase Sinzer and Joshua Pinsky, the acclaimed team behind Claud and Penny. Spanning just 450 square feet, the dimly lit, wood-paneled space centers around a vintage-inspired, U-shaped zinc bar alongside standing counters and outdoor seating, creating a cozy and vibrant neighborhood energy. Operating strictly on a walk-in basis from 4:00 PM to midnight daily, Stars stands out for its affordability, offering an extensive selection of bottles and roughly 27 rotating glasses of wine, sake, shochu, and beer. To complement the drinks, the bar serves a playful, pared-back menu of snack plates ranging from carbonated CO2 Honeycrisps and deviled eggs to griddled shrimp toast and prosciutto-topped buckwheat pancakes.
