Overview
Since its inception in 1990, Karavalli has grown to be an institution for South-west coast flavors. Modeled on a traditional Mangalorean bungalow and surrounded by lush tamarind trees, the restaurant is inspired by the architecture of coastal South India. Ingredients from the coast, such as cloves, cinnamon, pepper, homegrown chili's, and only the freshest vegetables and finest meats make it to the menu. The chef and team have painstakingly preserved India's most refined culinary traditions from their rich heritage by restoring age-old recipes, decades of researching, meeting with locals, and recreating forgotten flavors of a glorious bygone era.
